Sculpture, Images and Intellectual Property

Unlike the Statue of Liberty, there will be no tchotchkes running around of Portlandia.  Artist Raymond Kaskey owns all the rights to the image for reproduction for commercial purposes.

This is an interesting idea and one that most other sculptors don't use.  What would happen if you, in your business, whatever it is, locked up all the rights to the duplication of your image, your work or your DNA?
