Le Menu for Week of Nov 23rd

Okay, time for the antidote to Julia Child and "Mastering the Art of French Cooking."  When you're tired of scallions, scallops and shallots, try "The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl" by Ree Drummond over at Pioneer Woman. Here are this week's selections from PW's cookbook:

  • Pot Roast
  • Cinnamon Rolls
  • Fried Chicken
  • Comfort Meatballs

Not a scallion, scallop, or shallot in sight.

I love real cinnamon rolls. I haven't tried making any myself yet. Might be pretty dangerous for the diet. Wandering in from IComWeLeave.

Sounds awesome. Anything that comes out of that cookbook has to be good. Dropping by from ICLW!

I haven't made them yet, but the cinnamon rolls look wonderful. It is a generous recipe, however, so I'll need to either have plenty of hungry testers on hand, or perhaps I'll just freeze some as she suggests and save them for later.

Mosker, I was surprised when the recipe said "Serves 30 to 50"! Definitely ranch quantities.
Kelsimad, Laura and DeMo, thanks for dropping by from ICLW!
